Top 100 Green Private Companies: GoingGreen 100 2009 announced

AlwaysOn today announced the winners of its GoingGreen 100 Top Private Companies and named BrightSource Energy as the GoingGreen overall winner.

Other category winners are ZeaChem in Biofuels, Accelergy in Clean Energy, Wilson TurboPower in Clean Manufacturing, WiTricity in Energy Efficiency, Porous Power Technologies in Energy Storage, Coda Automotive in Green Transportation, Calera in Green Materials, BioFuelBox in Waste Management, HelioVolt in Solar Energy, and AquaCritox in Water Technology.

To compile the third annual elite GoingGreen 100 List, AlwaysOn surveyed hundreds of venture investors, investment bankers and industry experts, receiving more than 400 nominations.

The AlwaysOn editorial team and a panel of industry experts from KPMG, Morgan Stanley, Manatt, Silicon Valley Bank, Goodwin Procter, The Artimis Project, Revolution Partners and Bridge Bank evaluated the nominations based on five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.
